Effective October 23, 2019

We do not transfer or ship to C&R holders – it is against NJ Law.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to handle all the paperwork necessary for transfer.

Any firearm that is received by our shop, and is left for more than 30 days will be charged a $5.00 per day storage fee.

Any firearm that is received by our shop, and left for more than 90 days will be considered abandoned property; and will be sold to offset the transfer and storage fees.

Any firearm received that has missing/defaced serial numbers will be immediately reported and turned over to ATF/State Police.

Incoming transfers must include the shipper’s FFL, and customer’s full contact information including name, address, phone # and email address.

We reserve the right to reject any transfer for any reason.

We will not intervene between the seller and transferee (buyer) if there is an issue with a firearm (ie:  condition, missing parts, non compliance, etc….).

Howell Gun Works will retain and destroy any magazines shipped with a transfer that are not NJ compliant (hold more than 10 rounds).  Please ensure the shipper either keeps non compliant magazines, or sends with 10 round capacity or less.  In some instances, we can block magazines at a cost of $25.00 per magazine.  This is on a case by case basis and should be pre-authorized by us.

It is not necessary to call us about an incoming transfer; unless there is concern with NJ compliance.

Please don’t call about your transfer when you get a delivery confirmation.  It takes hours to unpack and log incoming shipments.  Once your tracking shows it arrived at our shop, please give us 24 hours before coming in to begin your NICS.

We do not call you when your transfer arrives.  Follow your tracking to confirm if it arrived.

**** Multi Purchase Handgun Customers****

Please let us know after you submit your application for a multi handgun purchase. We have to approve and confirm that we have the guns submitted before it will be processed by the state.

It is your responsibility to get tracking/shipping confirmation from the seller.   We do not track transfer packages.
